World Robot Olympiad Bangladesh

Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) is the national organizer of WROBd. WROBd represents Bangladesh in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), an international robotics competition that brings young people from 75+ countries all over the world to develop their creativity, design problem-solving skills through challenging educational robot competitions and activities.
BdOSN organizes WROBd national competitions in Bangladesh the winners from the national round get an invitation to the international finals.
During the competitions the participants work together with a coach in teams of two or three students. Each year they build a robot to solve a problem or challenge based on a theme. Each year a new theme and challenge are set.

In 2021, BdOSN for the first time will organize WROBd national competitions in Bangladesh. Children aged between 8 and 20 years can participate in one of the two competition categories: Open or Future Engineers Category. The winners from the national competitions will compete in the International Final. The international final this year will be held online due to the pandemic from Thursday, Nov 18th 12:00 UTC+0 to Sunday, Nov 21st 12:00 UTC+0. This year’s WRO® theme is PowerBots. The season challenges are connected to the challenges that come with using more energy from renewable sources.
