World Robot Olympiad-Bangladesh
Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) is the national organizer of WROBd. WROBd represents Bangladesh in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), an international robotics competition that brings young people from 100+ countries all over the world to develop their creativity, design problem-solving skills through challenging educational robot competitions and activities.
BdOSN organizes WROBd national competitions in Bangladesh, the winners from the national round get an invitation to the international finals.
During the competitions the participants work together with a coach in teams of two or three students. Each year they build a robot to solve a problem or challenge based on a theme. Each year a new theme and challenge are set.
In 2021, BdOSN for the first time organized WROBd national competitions in Bangladesh. Children aged between 8 to 20 years participated in one of the two competition categories: Open or Future Engineers Category. The winners from the national competitions competed in the Online International Final.
